Here's a very clean, black satin finish slider from an 89 Vanagon. While the picture shows it installed in a Westy, this is not a stock set-up. Will fit any year from 85 through 91, but not earlier. I also have a second passenger slider with some paint missing, but it's functional with a good seal. $20.00. You could probably remove the glass and powder coat it, although not sure it's worth the trouble or expense.
